An important skill when being in tech is how to communicate. I’ve taken pride in explaining the complex in simple terms in person, as video posts, and with the written word.
As a Solutions Engineer, I was frequently given the chance to use my development skills to expound on the value of the platforms we were demonstrating. These efforts were essentially solo endeavors (visual and audio assets aside).
Below are a few examples of blog posts and other projects I've released into the wild:
-
A fullstack NextJS application with flags throughout used in demonstrations to exemplify the use of flags for support, backend, frontend usage, automation demonstrations, etc.
-
Streaming flags is lovely to see in a demonstration environment. It also doesn’t really have much use outside of niche cases.
-
Runtime control is being able to influence the behavior of an application without having to restart the application or rewrite the code itself.
-
Flags can be used to control features at runtime. Watch how we can use flags to make game development a more dynamic process.
-
Full game written to highlight the benefits of using feature flags throughout the development cycle (for more than just features).
-
Boilerplate SDK intended to lower entry costs when trying LaunchDarkly with the Unity Game Engine.
-
A companion project to the LaunchDarkly UE4 plugin demonstrating its usefulness.
